The Assistant High Commissioner hosted a reception in the evening of 26 January 2020 to celebrate the 71st Republic Day of India. This was attended by more than 400 guests, which included Mayor of Rajshahi, Members of Parliament, Vice Chancellors, Divisional Commissioner, Police Commissioner, DIG, Colonel-DGFI, RAB & BGB Sector Commanders & other senior Officers, media personnel, senior academics, cultural & social activists, Members of Chambers of Commerce, Prominent Business persons and senior political functionaries. The function included cultural performances by famous dancers Ms. Alo Rani Moittro and Mr. Ladly Mohon Moittro and students of Nikkon Nrittro Shilpi Gosthi, Rajshahi. The event was widely covered in the local media.
