Indian Community
Apart from the India based officials and their families in the Assistant High Commission of India in Rajshahi, the Indian community in Rajshahi and Rangpur Division mainly comprise medical students at different Universities. As per information available, about 640 Indian students are pursuing their studies in Rajshahi and Rangpur Divisions. Five Indian engineers and official from L&T are posted in a power plant in Bheramara. Five Indian officials from Indian Railways are working with Bangladesh Railways in Rajshahi.
